One way to get a raccoon out of the trash can is to make the area unattractive to them by securing the lid with a bungee cord or heavy weight. Additionally, you can try placing ammonia-soaked rags or mothballs near the trash can, as raccoons are repelled by the strong smell. If the raccoon is already in the trash can, you can try making loud noises or spraying it with water to scare it away. It's important to remember to never approach a raccoon, as they can be aggressive when cornered. If the raccoon continues to be a problem, it may be best to contact a professional wildlife removal service for assistance. **

The raccoon and the raccoon dog are two different species. The raccoon is a mammal native to North America, known for its distinctive black mask and ringed tail. On the other hand, the raccoon dog, also known as the tanuki, is a canid species native to East Asia, resembling a raccoon in appearance but belonging to the canid family. While they may share some physical similarities, they are distinct species with different habitats and behaviors. **

Both animals have their own unique charm and characteristics, so the choice between the two may come down to individual preferences and the specific situation. **

I would not kill a raccoon unless it posed an immediate threat to myself or others. Instead, I would try to safely remove it from the area. As for bringing a female raccoon into the house, I would not do so as raccoons are wild animals and can carry diseases. It's best to appreciate raccoons from a distance and allow them to live in their natural habitat. **
